The Ballymun Youth Action Project (BYAP) was formed in 1981 as a community response to drug abuse in the area. This report lists the range of services provided to individuals and families, including counselling, education and community work. The BYAP founded Urrús in 1996 to provide training in relation to drug misuse, and the report monitors its progress. During 1998 the BYAP made contact with 294 people, of which 189 were aged 17 and over, 50 were aged 17 and under and 55 were parents, family members or friends of clients.
