We discuss the problem of whether the schedule allocation of only regular employees can efficiently deal with weekly fluctuating demand without the use of irregular employees. Conducting manufacturing operations seven days a week solves the problem. A new algorithm is presented to determine the minimal number of workers necessary for the fluctuating demand. The minimal numbers of workers are compared between the two Labor Allocation Models, i.e., Modela: Only regular employees are allocated, and Model b: Both regular and irregular employees are allocated. The present analysis shows that the schedule allocation of only regular employees can efficiently deal with fluctuating demand
