This plenary dialogue highlights the emergent perspectives of anthropologies in various contexts through the experiences of the next generation of anthropologists. This year, we consider the conference theme of ‘Anthropology and Publics’ in greater detail vis-à-vis the all too real challenges of becoming an anthropologist in the current global political-economic climate.
