The article briefly summerisies the iconography and the history of veneration of the two physisian saints. Their cult origins from the East and during the centuries of the Middle Ages it spread into the West and became popular in Hungary, too. They belong to the so called helping saints. Their figures accur in Hungary on medieval wall paintings, altar and votive pictures. The congratulated colleague, Tamás Grynaeus was bom on the day of these two saints. He offered his whole life for researching of the folk medicine practice
