The purposes of this paper are three-fold. The first purpose is to discuss the homophobic stereotypes and discriminatory campus environments with which gay, lesbian, and bisexual students must deal on a daily basis. The second purpose is to discuss the negative effects these practices have on gay, lesbian, and bisexual students\u27 college experience. The final, and main purpose of this paper, is to provide suggestions on how student affairs professionals can provide a positive campus climate for gay, lesbian, and bisexual students
