Introduction: The evidence of associations between individual foods and dietary fibre with subtypes of stroke (ischaemic and haemorrhagic) is not conclusive. We aimed to investigate this in a large prospective cohort. Materials and Methods: We analysed data on 418,329 men and women from the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) study.
