Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī’s Use of al-Ghazālī’s Mishkāt in His Commentary on the Light Verse (Q. 24:35)

A detailed analysis is offered of Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī's use of al-Ghazālī’s Mishkāt in His Commentary on the Light Verse (Q. 24:35), as formulated in the former's great Tafsīr. It is shown that al-Rāzī is a critical reader of the Mishkāt, but that he attempts to qualify al-Ghazālī as an authentic mutakallim.status: publishe
