Just three years after McKee Library opened in 1970, Vernon Thomas donated two rare book collections: the Lincoln Library and the Civil War Collection. Combined together, The Thomas Memorial Collection opened to the public nearly three years later. In this image, Peg Bennett, librarian, and Charles Davis, library director, view materials from the collection.https://knowledge.e.southern.edu/mckeelibraryhistory/1004/thumbnail.jp
