This item is based upon well known and traditional melody of the region which has changed little, if al all, in the last thirty years when first recorded by me (Hugh Tracey), the only distinguishable difference merely reflecting the relative ability of the various players. This style of playing and the type of Mbira used, the Madebe dza Mondoro, are common both to the Sena/Tonga tribe and the Budya clan of the Korekore tribe in the Mtoko district who live further west.
