Several methods of vegetation sampling were compared in a very homogeneous herbaceous vegetation: Needle points, double metre points, bayonet points, line transects, area measurements, and harvesting with sorting and weighing. Consistent curvilinear relationships were found between species frequencies, interceptions, and biomasses obtained by several methods. These constant relationships allow the estimation of yields from the double metre points by simple and fast observations.
