Photovoltaic module has widely varying output voltage due to the partial shading and the fluctuations of solar irradiation. In this work, we have proposed a novel topology of a non-isolated DC-DC converter to use as a distributed power converter in PV application. This converter is designed to achieve wide input range with high voltage gain to address the variations of output voltage of PV cells. The operational principle of the proposed converter and the effectiveness of that in PV application are described here.
