Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most common hip joint diseases and with increasing age and obesity, the prevalence of OA is likely to become even higher. Many patients with end-stage hip OA are treated with total hip arthroplasty (THA). As the number of THA surgeries is increasing, also the number of revision surgeries is growing. To prevent bone-implant interface failure, it is important to detect and monitor patients at risk, in which the loading on the hip joint is very important.
