The Blazhko effect is a long-term, generally quasi-periodic modulation of the light curves of a significant fraction of RR Lyrae stars that manifests itself with widely varying strength. Here we present an analysis of the Kepler data on the approximately half-dozen weakly modulated RR Lyrae stars in the field. We want to investigate whether the weakly modulated stars are more stable over the long time base recorded with Kepler in comparison to the strongly modulated ones.status: publishe
