An approximate system reliability analysis method, including system effects and load duration effects, is used to study the lifetime behavior of wood floor and roof systems. Based on the results from a simplified beam-spring model, reliability analysis of a system is performed using a single specific partially composite member incorporated with the distributions of order statistics of the lumber strength. Different load models and damage accumulation models are also investigated
