Within this subproject of the European Research Council Starting Grant Archaeometry andArchaeology of Ancient Glass Production as a Source for Ancient Technology andTrade of Raw Materials, a geochemical characterisation in terms of B isotopiccomposition of Hellenistic-Roman glass and its possible flux mineral resourcesis made. For this purpose, the chemical isolation procedure of B from soda-silica-lime glassneeds to be developed, and the pitfalls of the B isotopic analysis(fractionation, contamination ) need to be countered.
