This article is a systemic research on merger of colleges in Belgium. There are great changes in supply of courses, financial stability, facilities, work of central offices, collaboration among depart¬ments, interdepartmental projects, attitude towards merger, efficiency of staff and profile of colleges because of merger. The scale of merging, local competition, planning of the merger, use of time and re¬sources, professionalisation of the central administration of a college, balanced division of resources between colleges and departments and the administrative model are major factors which affect the merging process.
