The Gender Empowerment Index (DEI), especially the income contribution of Indonesian women has increased. The gender gap has begun to decrease, more and more women are participating in the economic, social and political roles. However, married women who act as housewives make women's decisions to participate in the labour market more complex. The purpose of this study is to find out what factors influence the decision of a married woman to work.
