Pengaruh Terapi Guided Imagery Pada Remaja Depresi Di Pondok Pesantren Imam Syuhodo

Introduction: Depression is a disorder that occurs in human function that is related to feelings of sadness and the symptoms that cause it, such as changes in appetite, sleep patterns, concentration, psychomotor, anhedonia, fatigue and feelings of hopelessness, and suicide (Kaplan, 2010). The results of the preliminary survey conducted by the researchers at the Imam Syuhodo Sukoharjo Islamic boarding school stated that there were adolescents experiencing mild to moderate depression. Purpose: The general objective of this research is to determine the impact of giving relaxation therapy to depressed adolescents in Islamic boarding schools. Research Methods: The method used is a quantitative study using a comparative descriptive method. The population in this study were all the number of adolescents in Islamic boarding schools. The population in this study were 43 people. The sample characteristics used were adolescents aged 10-15 years. Results: The results of this study indicate that the Kolmogorov Smirnov test showed that the p value before relaxation therapy was 0.48747 (p value> α (0.05)), while the p value after relaxation therapy was 0.51935 (p value> α (0) , 05)), so it can be concluded that the data before and after relaxation therapy for depressed adolescents at the Imam Syuhodo Peasantren pond has a normal distribution. Conclusion: The results of the study on depressed adolescents who live in the Imam Syuhodo Sukoharjo Islamic Boarding School after relaxation therapy using guide imagery techniques can reduce depression rates in adolescents at the Imam Syuhodo Sukoharjo Islamic Boarding School
