Peningkatan Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa Kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura pada Materi Pythagoras Berbantuan Media Software Geogebra (PTK pada Siswa Kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020)

This research aims to improve the mathematical representation ability of students assisted by Geogebra Software media in class VIII A on even semester of SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura. This research is a classroom action research conducted between researchers and mathematics teachers collaboratively. The recipients of the action were students of class VIII A at SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura with 32 students and the perpetrators of the action were researchers with direction from the mathematics teacher. This research uses data collection techniques such as documentation, field notes, and tests. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis techniques with critical analysis. The results of this research are the increased ability of mathematical representation in students, this can be seen from the following indicators, (1) Students who are able to make mathematical models before the action are 5 out of 32 students (15.6%), after the action as many as 12 out of 17 students (70.56% ); (2) Students who are able to write the completion steps before the action are 7 out of 32 students (21.88%) and after the action are 13 out of 17 students (64.71%); (3) Students who were able to draw geometry before the action were 14 out of 32 students (43.75%) and after the action were 11 out of 17 students (76.47%) Keywords: mathematical representation, software Geogebr
