Indonesia is one of the largest producers and suppliers of rattan raw materials in the world. Rattan in Indonesia is exported in raw form so that at that time the price of rattan is very high. In 2011, the minister issued a regulation banning the export of raw rattan. Rattan that is exported must be in finished or semi-finished form.
