Gambaran Penatalaksanaan Orang Tua Terhadap Anak Yang Mengalami Demam

Fever is a disorder that often occurs in infants and children. It is said to have a fever if a child's body temperature reaches a rise in temperature around 0.8 ˚C-1.1 ˚C which is more than 38 ˚C, above a person's normal body temperature. Fever in children can be caused due to a viral infection, exposure to excessive heat (overheating), lack of fluids (dehydration), allergies and immune system disorders. Fever if not treated quickly and appropriately, fever can endanger the child's safety so that it can cause other complications (seizures and decreased awareness). This study aims to determine the management of parents of children who have a fever in the village of Kranggan. This research is a quantitative study, with the research method used is descriptive and retrospective approaches. The total sample of 89 respondents with a total sampling technique. Data collection used by using a fever management questionnaire that was made by the researcher totaling 22 questions, while the data analysis using univariate. The results of this study are the management of parents of children with fever in the village of Kranggan mostly good, aged 25-34 years, high school / vocational education and the work of housewives. So the conclusion of this study is the management of parents by giving compresses in the good category, by giving drugs in the good category, by giving drinking and eating in the good category, by giving clothes in the good category, by limiting their activities and environment in the good category and by bringing the child to the doctor / midwife in the good category
