The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of financial characteristics including profitability (ROA), total asset turnover, liquidity (CR), tangibility and non-debt tax shield on capital structure. This type of research is quantitative research with secondary data obtained through the website www.idx.co.id. The population in this study is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2016-2018. The sample in this study was 247 companies obtained by purposive sampling method. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis method with SPSS version 20.00.
