Analisis Kemampuan Siswa dalam Mengerjakan Soal Cerita HOTS Matematika Pokok Bahasan Program Linear SMK N 1 Pedan.

This study aims to determine the ability of students to work on HOTS math story problems on linear program material and find out the location of students' mistakes in working on HOTS math problem questions on linear program material. Subjects used as research were 34 students in class XA at SMK 1 Pedan. Data collection techniques used were test and interview results. Data analysis techniques are done through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Research subjects numbered 3 students with high, medium and low category abilities. Subjects with high ability are able to work on HOTS story problems into mathematical models appropriately, subjects can solve all the given problems but when calculating the optimum value the subject is less precise in answering them. Subjects with the ability to be able to understand the problem, but the subject answers incomplete questions, there are some students who only write mathematical models and graphs of their completion and do not look for intersection points and their optimum value, there are also those who look for intersection points and their optimum value but incorrect answers. Subjects with low ability to answer questions are incomplete by writing an example using a mathematical model with a graph of the wrong solution and do not look for the intersection point and the optimum value. In addition, the subject did not carry out the evaluation steps and did not conclude the results of the answers
