Self management is a decision-making and strategy that is carried out on patients in an effort to improve life health, maintain life, achieve complete health and minimize the decline in quality of life. Self management can improve quality of life and reduce re-hospitalisation in patients with heart failure. Factors that affect self management in heart failure patients consist of age, sex, income, education level, functional status, and concomitant diseases. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of self management in patients with heart failure. The study was conducted at the cardiac clinic at Sebelas Maret University Hospital.
