Typescript (photocopy).Purpose. The purpose of this study was to examine thermoregulatory responses during three phases of the menstrual cycle in high fat and low fat women while exercising. Procedure. Subjects who volunteered for the study underwent screening procedures to determine fitness level, percent body fat, and appropriateness to the study regarding their menstrual cycle. Qualifying subjects (N = 20) were assigned to high and low fat groups based on their percent body fat, and randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group.
