The purpose of this study was to determine the worth and merit of the Assertive Discipline Program at Charles D. Owen High School for the 1985-1986 and 1986-1987 school years. The study identified the efforts of the staff and administration at Charles D. Owen High School to provide an opportunity for students and teachers to function in an improved environment for teaching and learning. Information for the study was provided by triangulation procedures which collected data from 722 students in grades nine through twelve, 62 teachers, and 233 parents by the use of a survey.
