The actual practice of teaching ethics in theological schools is addressed through a variety of research methods: interviews with practitioners in a selected number of exemplary Protestant schools, review of recent literature in relevant fields9 background Biblical, theological, and philosophical material. Following Alisdair Maclntyre's theory that a cultural crisis of ethics is behind the recent increase of attention in ethics teaching, various models are examined to account for how the cultural crisis might be manifested in the context of theological schools.
