Lean and Six Sigma methodologies were introduced in the 40’s and the 80’s, respectively. Since then, the number of companies that have implemented their tools in order to enhance their efficiency and quality has not cease to grow. Both are defined as Continuous Improvement methods that pursue operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The purpose of this Master thesis has been to analyse the performance and efficiency of a testing lab in a company specialized in mechanical components for the automotive industry.
