Maintenance of power electronic systems is of interest for larger systemsentirety. The reason is that they in turn could affect the whole system and cause failures if they are not functional. Maintenance of systems that are critical to be functional at all times is an area of research that is developing. For power electronics, there is more research needed in the specific area of when failures will occur and the health of the system.
