This article is the result of research and public hearings conducted by the South Dakota Constitutional Revision Commission and the 1972 Session of the South Dakota Legislature. It has received the endorsement of the South Dakota Bar Association. Having passed both houses of the Legislature unanimously, it was placed on the ballot for this November\u27s election
