Spruce (Picea abies L.) dangerous trunk pests population research in Lithuania

The place of the research: Pajiesys forestry. The object of the research: populations of dangerous spruce trunk pests in Lithuania in 2003 – 2019 and Pajiesys forestry bark beetle population in 2019. The purpose of the study was to compare the populations of spruce trunk pests in Lithuania in 2003 - 2019 and to investigate the bark beetle population in Pajiesys forestry in 2019. The objectives of the research: 1. To determine the dynamics of the abundance of spruce dangerous trunk pest populations in 2003 - 2019 period. 2. To study the tendencies of bark beetle abundance in Pajiesys forestry in 2019. 3. To compare the dependence of the abundance of the spruce bark beetle population on the air temperature, precipitation and habitat type in Pajiesys forestry in 2019. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, statistical processing methods of collected data. Research results: after analyzing the Lithuanian state forests in 2003 – 2019 according to the health status survey data, it can be seen that the population sizes and massive population increases of dangerous spruce trunk pests decreased from 51,479 ha to 137 ha during the observation period. Monitoring of the spruce bark beetle 2003 - 2019, the highest number of pests in pheromone traps was recorded in 2014, when the total number of pests in reached 232791 units. Pajiesys forestry in 2019 statistically, the highest number of pests in pheromone traps was caught in May and August, when the first and second generations of the spruce bark beetle took place. Direct effect of precipitation and temperature on the apruce bark beetle population has not been identified. It was found that the hydrological conditions of the site affect the abundance of the pest population, most insects were found in Ld-type sites (36.5%), the least in Pd-type sites. Tyrimo objektas: pavojingų eglės liemenų kenkėjų populiacijos Lietuvoje 2003 – 2019 m. ir Pajiesio girininkijos žievėgraužio tipografo populiacija 2019 m. tyrimo tikslas: palyginti liemenų kenkėjų populiacijas Lietuvoje 2003 – 2019 m. ir ištirti žievėgraužio tipografo populiaciją Pajiesio girininkijoje 2019 m. tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Nustatyti eglės pavojingų liemenų kenkėjų populiacijų gausumo dinamiką 2003 – 2019 m. laikotarpiu. 2. Ištirti žievėgraužio tipografo gausumo tendencijas Pajiesio girininkijoje 2019 m. 3. Palyginti žievėgraužio tiporafo populiacijos gausumo priklausomybę nuo oro temperatūros, kritulių kiekio ir augavietės tipo Pajiesio girininkijoje 2019 m. tyrimo metodai: mokslinės literatūros analizė, surinktų duomenų statistiniai apdorojimo metodai. tyrimo rezultatai: išanalizavus Lietuvos valstybinių miškų 2003 – 2019 m. sanitarinės būklės apžvalgų duomenis, matoma, kad pavojingų eglių liemenų kenkėjų populiacijų dydžiai ir masiniai pažeidimų židiniai stebėjimų laikotarpiu sumažėjo nuo 51479 ha iki 137 ha. Žievėgraužio tipografo monitoringo 2003 – 2019 m. duomenimis, didžiausias kenkėjų skaičius feromoninėse gaudyklėse buvo fiksuojamas 2014 m., kuomet bendras kenkėjų skaičius urėdijose siekė 232791 vnt. Pajiesio girininkijoe 2019 m. atlikto tyrimo metu statistiškai daugiausia kenkėjų feromononinėse gaudyklėse buvo sugauta gegužės ir rugpjūčio mėnesiais, kuomet vyko žievėgraužio tipografo I ir II generacijos. Tiesioginio kritulių ir temperatūros poveikio žievėgraužio tipografo populiacijos gausumui nenustatyta. Nustatyta, kad augavietės hidrologinės sąlygos turi įtakos kenkėjo populiacijos gausumui, daugiausia vabzdžių aptikta Ld tipo augavietėse (36,5 %), mažiausiai – Pd tipo augavietėse.
