Assessment and teaching in writing production: in search of voices that involve teaching practices of the high school portuguese teacher

The assessment of learning has been the focus of several academic works, however, much of these is restricted to problematizing the way the instruments through which the teacher undertakes the evaluation process in the classroom work. In this sense, I proposed, for the elaboration of this thesis, an investigation whose general objective focused on identifying how voices relate in the construction of representations of Portuguese Language teachers (LP) about the evaluation of learning in classes of textual production. Thus, I distance myself from the analysis of evaluative instruments to maintain my investigative focus on the language actions practiced by the teacher during the teaching-evaluation process. My choice to follow this path is due to the fact that I take into account the theoretical-methodological assumptions of socio-discursive interactionism, from which I argue that evaluation is a language action and, therefore, it happens only during the teacher/student interaction. To achieve the proposed goal, I performed an analysis of pre-built that, in a way, could influence teaching practices, such as: he official documents of the Federal Government dealing with High School; the evaluation criteria used to correct the ENEM essay test; the Portuguese textbook adopted by the school in which this research was carried out; and, finally, the recommendations related to the teaching of textual production made by researchers from Brazilian universities. After this first phase, during one academic semester, the observation and video recording of the lessons of an LP teacher, who teaches textual production to a class of the third year of High School (EM) was carried out. In addition, an interview was made, also recorded on video, with this teacher, before the observations, in order to know his conceptions about the evaluation in the textual production class. As the last stage of this work, the data obtained from the analysis of observations and the interview were crossed with those produced through the analysis of pre-built and, thus, it was possible to identify those that most influence the formation of teacher representations. At the end of this research, it was possible to conclude that, although voices coming from official government bodies forward a work with the production of text aimed at contextualized practices and whose conception of evaluation aims at the formation of autonomous students in relation to their own learning, there remain in the school classification practices, which are there, not due to teacher training, but coming from ENEM, which, paradoxically, disregards all the indications of official documents in their formulation.Tese (Doutorado)A avaliação da aprendizagem tem sido foco de diversos trabalhos acadêmicos, no entanto, boa parte destes se restringe a problematizar o modo como funcionam os instrumentos por meio dos quais o professor empreende o processo de avaliação em sala de aula. Nesse sentido, propus, para a elaboração dessa tese, uma investigação cujo objetivo geral centrou-se em identificar o modo como se relacionam vozes na construção das representações dos professores de Língua Portuguesa (LP) acerca da avaliação da aprendizagem nas aulas de produção textual. Dessa forma, distancio-me da análise de instrumentos avaliativos para manter meu foco investigativo sobre as ações de linguagem praticadas pelo professor durante o processo de ensino-avaliação. Minha opção por seguir este caminho se deve ao fato de que levo em consideração os pressupostos teórico-metodológicos do Interacionismo Sociodiscursivo, a partir dos quais defendo que a avaliação é uma ação de linguagem e, por esse motivo, acontece apenas durante a interação professor/aluno. Para atingir o objetivo proposto, realizei uma análise dos pré-construídos que, de certa forma, poderiam influenciar as práticas docentes, tais como: os documentos oficiais do Governo Federal que tratam do Ensino Médio; os critérios de avaliação utilizados para a correção da prova de redação do ENEM; o livro didático de português adotado pela escola em que se efetivou essa investigação; por fim, as recomendações relacionadas ao ensino de produção textual feitas pelos pesquisadores das universidades brasileiras. Após essa primeira fase, foi efetuada a observação e gravação em vídeo das aulas de um professor de LP, que ministra aulas em uma turma do terceiro ano do Ensino Médio (EM), durante um semestre letivo. Além disso, foi feita uma entrevista, também gravada em vídeo, com este professor, antes das observações, com o objetivo de que fossem conhecidas suas concepções acerca da avaliação na aula de produção textual. Como última etapa desse trabalho, os dados obtidos com a análise das observações e da entrevista foram cruzados com aqueles produzidos por meio da análise dos pré-construídos e, assim, foi possível identificar aqueles que mais exercem poder sobre a formação das representações docentes. Ao final dessa pesquisa, foi possível concluir que, apesar de vozes advindas de instâncias oficiais do governo encaminharem um trabalho com a produção de texto voltado às práticas contextualizadas e cuja avaliação tenha como objetivo a formação de alunos autônomos em relação à própria aprendizagem, permanecem na escola práticas classificatórias, que lá se encontram, não devido à formação do professor, mas advindas do ENEM, que, paradoxalmente, desconsidera todas as indicações dos documentos oficiais em sua formulação
