Simulation of particulate fluxes at the mouth of the Seine estuary : uncertainty assessment Morphodynamics simulation in the coastal zone requires the assessment of particulate fluxes. Due to considerable variability in estuarine systems, the description of these fluxes through measurements is practically impossible. On the other hand, numerical models can be used, providing they have been validated first. The approach is applied to the Seine estuary, where recent engineering works and regular dredging are likely to change these fluxes. A 3-dimensional model is used, accounting for tidal and wind-induced circulations, as well as density gradients.
