Small hydropower plants in Switzerland: definition of spatial priorities taking into account the conflicting interests of power production and protection of the environment. Due to the promotion of small hydropower plants in Switzerland, a lot of new projects have been planned. This leads to conflicts of interests, especially between ecology and power production. Where should new power plants be built, and which rivers should be protected from any further impact ? In this paper a methodology is developed in order to find answers to those questions.
