The paper presents quasi-twodimensional stationary model of buoyant surface jet. Basing on the results of laboratory experiments which were conducted for a strong ambient current velocities asymmetry of surface distributions was found. Separately, the field measurements were conducted on existing heated water outlet in Poland. Comparison of measured and calculated jet parameters has showed that asymmetrical jet model can be used for a case if heated water spreads in recipient with a strong ambient current instead of symmetrical model.Au rapport est présenté modèle bidimensionnel permanent du jet flottant.
