An investigation of the performance of a natural draft cooling tower under crosswind conditions, performed using a small-scale heated model in a hydraulic channel. The use of a heating model in a hydraulic channel allows one to obtain reasonably precise results regarding the behaviour of natural draft cooling towers under windy conditions. Laws of simulation and the methodology used are presented, along with results obtained from flow measurements using a model of a counter-flow cooling tower of 300 MWth and a model of a cross-flow cooling tower of 2600 MWth.L'utilisation d'un modèle réduit chauffant en canal hydraulique permet d'obtenir des indications assez précises sur le fonctionnement en présence de vent des aéroréfrigérants à tirage ...
