The sanitation is an important equipment for the definition of the zoning of a Land Use Plan (P.O.S. in French) of a town. When the municipality considers a sanitation system without sewers, a mapping of the fitness of the land for this system is a very precious tool . The concept of "land" having in the P.O.S. a juridical definition and in the mapping a technical definition very complicated, it is important that a detailed explanation of the map can be given to the members of the Group working on the P.O.S., in order to them, to understand very deeply the possibilities and the limits of the mapping. This "translation" must be done in view of the engineers who have carried out the map, but not obligatory by them.L'assainissement est un des équipements qui jouent un rôle important dans la définition du zonage d'un Plan d' Occupation des Sols (P.O.S.). Lorsque la Municipalité envisage l'assainissement individuel, une carte d'aptitude des sols à l'assainissement individuel est un outil précieux. Le concept de "sol" dans le cadre des P.O.S., est une notion de définition du statut juridique. Dans le cas d'une cartographie, c'est une notion complexe. La simplification des limites entre les différentes zones n'est donc pas la même. Il est alors fondamental qu'une explication détaillée de la carte soit faite aux membres du Groupe de travail élaborant le P. O. S. afin qu'ils appréhendent pleinement les possibilités et les limites de l'étude de cartographie. Cette "Traduction" doit se faire en présence du bureau d'études ayant réalisé l'étude.Ripoche Michel.
