Wind tunnel simulation of heat transfer from atmospheric cooling tower to the environment. The problem of heat transfer from atmospheric cooling tower is studied using a simulation in a large wind tunnel, the boundary layer of which exhibits the same characteristics as the lower layer of the atmosphere. This boundary layer grow along a rough plate, 7.2 meters long. The model, 6 meters long, below the well developed layer, is composed of 4 cooling towers and their environment at a scale ratio of 1/400. Each tower is equiped with a heating device to simulate the temperature and mean velocity fields of a working cooling tower.
