British researches on this subject were highly intensified during the last four years. National inquiries determined the most important sources of underground waters pollution ; then, priorities were settled for such a work. Are described herein a variety of studies concerning particularly the following points : 1) Nitrates. Analysis of samples and pore waters, in order to know the origin and fate of natural and artificial combinaisons of nitrogen within water tables and to forecast their future evolution. 2) Dangerous wastes.
