Thermal alterations induced into Mediterranean coastal waters with surface discharges are influenced by particular environmental conditions : shallow waters near the coast, small currents velocity, negligible tidal effects, etc. In this respect, the paper describes a forecasting model for the evaluation of temperature and velocity fields in the vicinity of a thermal discharge.
