Investigation method and results applicable to lower and middle triassic aquifer beds in the Vosges basin. Subsequent to the observations published by L. Guillaume in 1938 and Guillerd in 1944, a number of hydrological field surveys were carried out between 1947 and 1959 on the two main aquifers in the Vosges mineral and hot spring basin (Vittel-Contrexéville-Martigny and Bains-les-Bains). An accurate experimental method was developed with the often very substantial technical means available, enabling the more or less close connections between the various natural or artificial springs to be determined and analysed, and the main characteristics of the aquifers supplying these springs to be identified.
