Partial fulfillment for award of the degree of Master of Science in Information technologyInternet Service Providers (ISPs) in developing countries are incurring high operating costs. Chief among the costs is the telecommunications cost of getting traffic to other networks of the Internet. Developing countries local Internet traffic is billed at the same rate with internationally accessible content hence high operating cost for the ISPs. Internet traffic moving from one ISP to another ISP in the same developing country has to be routed overseas as a result; developing countries are suffering from Internet connectivity that is expensive and slow compared to developed countries.
