In this paper, we present approaches to teaching ICT ethics in various settings in several European countries. The picture which emerges from the cases we present, and the context thereof, is a challenging one. For while it is possible to come up with examples of good practice, a systematic approach to the need for ICT ethics education is currently lacking thoughout most of Europe. Hence, we can conclude our paper with a handful of recommendations for action in this area by the members of the ICT ethics research (and teaching) community.status: publishe
