Ideas influence the way people think and eventually how people act. Ideas were integral in both sparking the American Revolution and informing those who crafted the founding documents. It is a contested position to state that the United States had a Christian founding. An overlooked and under appreciated aspect of the American founding is the influence of political Hebraism on the founders view of republicanism.
