Praca podejmuje tematykę kwestii ukraińskiej w myśli politycznej Narodowej Demokracji oraz Polskiej Partii Socjalistycznej od lat 90. XIX wieku do wybuchu I wojny światowej. W pracy została zawarta analiza sytuacji polityczno-gospodarczej Galicji w II drugiej połowie XIX wieku, genezy konfliktu polsko-ukraińskiego w Galicji i przebiegu skomplikowanych relacji obu narodów do początku XX wieku. Czytelnik odnajdzie tu również charakterystykę dwóch obozów politycznych – narodowego i lewicy niepodległościowej, zawierającą ich genezę, sylwetki czołowych przedstawicieli, idei przez nich reprezentowanych, a przede wszystkim stanowisko wobec rozwijającej się kwestii ukraińskiej i problemów z nią związanych.This thesis deals with the Ukrainian issue in the political thought of the National Democracy and the Polish Socialist Party from the 1890s until the outbreak of the First World War. This thesis contains an analysis of the political and economic situation in Galicia in the second half of the 19th century, the genesis of the Polish-Ukraine conflict, as well as the course of the complex relationship between both nations until the beginning of the 20th century. Also, the reader will find an in-depth characteristic of both political camps, their genesis, profiles of their leading representatives, their ideas, and most importantly, their stance on the developing Ukrainian issue and its related problems
