Death and immortality in Phaedo and other dialogues of Plato.

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie poglądów Platona na temat duszy, śmierci oraz kwestii eschatologicznych. Z tego względu jako przedmiot swojej analizy wybrałam argumentację wyłożoną w dialogu Fedon, oraz w innych dialogach, na tyle, na ile pozwoliły mi rozmiary tej pracy. W samym Fedonie, Sokrates przedstawia cztery dowody na nieśmiertelność duszy, które mają przekonać jego uczniów do pewności życia duszy po śmierci, jak również podania mitologiczne, które powinni oni przyjąć z odpowiednimi zastrzeżeniami dotyczącymi stopnia ich prawdopodobieństwa.The object of this work was to introduce Plato's views on the subject of soul, death and eschatology. For this reason, I chose as a matter of analyse argumentation showed in Phaedo and other dialogues limited by the size of my thesis. In Phaedo Socrates describes four arguments for immortality of souls that are to convince his followers about certainty of life after death and also myths that they should welcome with some kind of reservation relating to their probability
