Throughout the history, Tibet (China) and Bhutan had and have an intimate yet complicated relationship from cultural, political and ethnic identity point of view. Because of the close connection, as a native Tibetan I have raised doubts about the Cultural and Ethnic Identity of Tibetan and Bhutanese people, commonly considered very close or even identical. This topic has not been researched specifically yet.
