HUMAN DIGNITY IN THE DOCUMENTS OF POLISH AND INTERNATIONAL LAW

Celem pracy jest zdefiniowanie terminu „godność człowieka”, a także ukazanie roli tego pojęcia jaką pełnił kiedyś, a jaką pełni w obecnych czasach. Rozdział pierwszy przybliża pojęcie godności człowieka oraz zaznajamia z historyczną genezą tego określenia.Następne dwa rozdziały poruszają kwestie godności jako podstawowe prawo człowieka oraz kwestię godności występującą w dokumentach Kościoła i ONZ. Ostatnie rozdziały poruszają istotny temat ochrony godności i poszanowania w świetle prawa polskiego i standardów europejskich, a także kontrowersji na temat godności.The main topic of this thesis is to define a term "the dignity of the man". What is more, thesis shows a function of the dignity in history and nowadays. First chapter shows historical origin and says about current definition of "the dignity of the man". Next two chapters show the dignity as a basic human law. Additionally, reader can find in the thesis information about how documents of Church and documents of United Nations Organisation relate to the dignity of the man. Fourth chapter shows how the Polish and the European law refers to the human dignity. The final chapter presents relations between the human dignity against transplantations, genetic researches, abortions and euthanasia
