Celem pracy było znalezienie sposobu na wykrycie usterek w przemysłowym silniku indukcyjnym na podstawie danych pomiarowych jego przyśpieszenia. Analizy zostały wykonane za pomocą transformaty Fouriera, ciągłej transformaty falkowej oraz splotów funkcji. Każdy z wymienionych sposobów nie tylko wykrywa defekt silnika, ale również wskazuje jego pochodzenie.
