Master's thesis addresses the issue of granting voting rights to women in the early twentieth century and how they are shaping the political position in the international arena. The first chapter of this work concerns the history of granting women voting rights in selected countries in Europe. It presents the situation that occurred in the UK, Scandinavia and France. Great Britain was the first European country where on developed suffragists movement. Women fighting for their rights and freedoms by using not only peaceful methods.
